Simplified Fee Structures
The total average cost of working with a financial advisor will depend on what type of advice you are seeking, as well as the advisor’s fee structure for the services you receive. Financial advisors provide advice on all aspects of your financial situation. This ranges from helping you set financial goals and determining what kinds of accounts are needed, to investing funds for you and advising you on how to build a diversified portfolio of assets. Impact Capital is a fee-only company, which means we are compensated solely by you to manage your money and provide financial advice.
Which Fee Structure Makes Sense for You?
Fixed Dollar Fee
This includes an initial financial plan, monitoring of the plan, ongoing service, ongoing advice, and portfolio management.
This is appropriate if you feel your portfolio will increase by more than inflation over time.
Financial Planning
This includes an initial financial plan, monitoring of the plan, ongoing service, ongoing advice, and portfolio management.
This is appropriate if you expect your portfolio value to fall over time due to withdrawals.
AUM-Based Fee
This includes a one-time holistic financial plan. Ongoing service and financial planning advice are billed on an as-needed basis.
This is appropriate if you don’t need or want portfolio management or ongoing advice.
