Eric Cohen, CPA is the Co-Founder and Chairman of Impact Capital, LLC. He is also an Office Managing Partner at Marcum, LLP. Prior to merging his practice into Marcum, Eric was the Managing Principal at E. Cohen, a CPA firm that provided an integrated suite of tax, assurance, and consulting services to individuals and a wide array of industries across the Mid-Atlantic region for more than 30 years.
Eric primarily provides tax research, planning, and compliance services to high-income individuals, C-corporations, and flow-through entities. He specializes in industries such as real estate, government contracting, not-for-profit, wholesalers, and professional service companies.
He was named as one of the Top Ten 2019 Managing Partner Elite by Accounting Today and one of the Washington DC region’s Top Business Executives by SmartCPA Reader’s Choice in 2012, 2011, and 2007. His previous firm, E. Cohen, had been named as Best Accounting Firm to Work For 13 years and counting under his leadership. E. Cohen was also named the No. 1 Best Firm for Women in the United States.
Eric is a member of several professional organizations, including the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce (MCCC), the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA). He is also a member of the Maryland Society of Accountants (MSA), the Greater Washington Society of Certified Public Accountants (GWSCPA), and the Virginia Society of Accountants.
